Thank you for visiting my website. I am a Web Consultant specialized in usability. I have been working on Web Usability projects for 5 years, for agencies in France, Canada and New Zealand, making sure websites meet users needs and expectations. Basically, my work is to understand users’ needs and best practices, to deliver requirements and to support creative and programming teams for the development of the project.

A few questions
What are your favorite websites?
I spend a lot of time on websites like TripAdvisor, LinkedIn or Facebook. I tend to prefer simple websites with interesting functionality, but I am also fond of the references, like Amazon or ebay. Here is a little top 10 of my favorite websites (this is not based on Usability, but only on my personal preference and websites I use to refer to):
- Amazon
- NYT
- TripAdvisor
- Thenorthface
- ebay
- Le Monde
- Lonelyplanet
- FutureNow/blog
And of course, I also spend a lot of time on my blog and envolemoi.com.
Can a girl work in a field as technical as Web development?
She sure can. Personnaly speaking, I have always been good at programming and other technical staff. My studies in Multimedia have allowed me to learn programming, as well as design, physics, maths and chemistry. Apart of beign the head of class in programming, here are a few things I have already performed, and am able to do (even if not my specialty):
- Program in PhP, HTML MySQL, Java, C++ and some others like WAP
- Program applications in Flash and Director
- Debug a PhP or HTML code
- Deliver requirements ready-to-use by a developer
- Teach clients how to use a Spip or WordPress CMS
- Understand major technical issues in a project
- Brief a developer or integrator
Which project do you consider your best success?
As a matter of fact, it is the same project I refer to as my favorite: iposte (La Poste Intranet portal) requirements and wireframes. The job was huge, and very challenging: I was to provide the company with Usability Guidelines for Intranet websites and portal, including best practices and accessibility requirements. It was very testing, but extremely interesting: we conducted User Research for more than a month. It is a success because the requirements are today a work basis for many employees in any domain the company works in, for the users’s benefits.
How come you work with France, New Zeland and Canada?
I was born in France, where I have started working as a Usability Consultant. After a few years, I have moved to Quebec, Canada, to work on new projects. I love travelling, and I am lucky to be able to work while discovering new places. So I moved to New Zealand, where I am presently. From one country to another, I went on working with my clients, and so I now work with 3 countries.
