After TechNet @Bangkok

Published on the 22 mai 2015

I am just back from the TechNet-21 conference, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from the 11th to the 15th May. As a reminder, this conference is organized by the World Health Organization and Unicef, and gathers immunization experts from all around the world to think and discuss about vaccination best practices and policy. I had the chance of being invited to this event in order to present a project, and gather feedbacks from present stakeholders. After a few months of preparation, we came up with a prototype and interactive wireframes.

During the 5 days of the conference, we had the opportunity to make the demo to more than 20 persons with various profiles and backgrounds, from all regions in the world, including Togo, China and India. This was the first time I had the chance to work in such an international context, switching languages and focuses between each session. The persons I met were passionate and expert in their field, and raised high-quality feedbacks, concerns, changes and questions. The whole operation is a great success, with actionable feedbacks gathered, and expressed interest and support from stakeholders.

After a 14-hours flight (flying business, which changes everything!), it is now the time of browsing and sorting feedbacks, data-analysis and reporting. Luckily, I was also able to take a few days off and enjoy Thailand. I visited Erawan national park, close to Kanchanaburi (you know, the famous bridge on the Kwai river?), and ended with a 2-days sunny relax stay on Koh Lanta Island.
